ABOUT

When you first reach out it can be scary.  Just visiting this website is a huge step.  Upon contacting me, I will work to connect with you as soon as I can to set up an initial appointment and have a brief phone conversation.  In the initial appointment we will discuss what brought you to therapy and to ensure there is a comfort level for you being able to work with me.  As we build a relationship, I work with you to figure out the priorities in your life and your values.  We work together to figure out what is important to you and how you can align your life with your values to be authentically you.  Each session we build on skills learned and new insights which have been gained.  I use a strengths based approach and I mostly practice from a cognitive behavioral perspective meaning I look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected.  At times I pull from other theories including acceptance commitment therapy and various family therapy theories, however, cognitive behavioral therapy is a starting point.  I work to provide you with the education and knowledge you may need to learn and grow especially if you have made recent discoveries about your life such as finding out you are a highly sensitive person (human) or reaching out for the first time to address disordered eating patterns or an eating disorder.  I work to meet you where you are in life and work collaboratively with you to help you discover your inner strengths.  I incorporate elements of play therapy and sandtray therapy into sessions when appropriate.

If you are interested in clinical consultation, supervision, mentorship, or having me speak about eating disorders, please reach out so we may discuss this further.

All appointments are conducted online through teletherapy platforms.

Insurance is not accepted. If you have out of network benefits I can provide you with a superbill so you can be reimbursed by your insurance carrier.  Due to state regulations, I am not able to provide counseling services to you if you are on Medicaid or other state insurance even if you self pay.  I offer a sliding scale and am happy to provide you with this information upon request.

If you would like to use insurance benefits you can find me at Clinic for Christian Counseling in Eau Claire, WI where I am able to accept some insurances.

Below you find out a little more about me.  I would love to speak with you.
